An accidental mini boob print

This was an accidental creation which I ended up really liking. I had excess paint on the side of my boob and in my armpit and wanted to try another colour so I just pressed the side of my chest onto the page. Initially I could only see it as a print of a side boob but when discussing it with my peers someone pointed out to me that it looked like a miniature boob print from the front where only one boob had been printed. The crisp angle that was created from the shape of my boob looks almost like a shoulder and my armpit turned into the neck.

I wanted to try experimenting with this side boob technique to create smaller composed chest prints but never really got round to it before I lost interest in this project. I am going to put a pin in it for now and push forward with ideas that are stronger in me for the time being but may return to this idea in the future.

Rethink. Refund. Reboot. exhibition piece and statement

Time-lapses of me creating the NON ESSENTIAL clown look on my face:  https://youtu.be/PRrkiDUsLp0 Second attempt:  https://youtu.be/ofEzy0CN_J0 These are the two time-lapses I ended up creating because after I had completed the first one on Saturday 20/03 and did the photoshoot on my own in my room I discovered that all the photos were blurry and I needed to redo it all. So on Sunday 21/03 I did the entire face paint again and this time I learnt from some mistakes I had made the day before so it wasn't all bad that I had to redo it all. I paid more attention to detail and only used body paint when creating the second look rather than using Acrylic paint for the white because when it had dried it was cracking and pulling on my skin. I also got my housemate to take the photos for me to focus the camera correctly. Another self portrait

I adore how the colours came out in the editing process of this photograph. The vibrancy gives me so much energy and adds power and drama to the composition. The effortless anonymity that the sunglasses bring to the face as I channelled my inner Andy Warhol. I cropped myself slightly off centre to represent how I am different and played with the levels in the colours to represent the two cultures that are a part of me. Blue for France and Red for England. The pink blend in the middle of the two colours is who I am. The pattern that Rhiana painted onto me led me to feel as if I was wearing a harness and less bare so my strength grew stronger with the paint on me. The wispy hair strands signify the imperfection and free will of nature and humanity. The outline around my forehead almost turns the layer of paint into a mask that I am wearing and makes me look more doll like.  I hope to be able to print this photo out professionally in the next semester and print it out huge!
